How to name device?

I may be missing the obvious, nor did I find a thread, but how does one name their device?
Don't want to see RM-820_nam_canada_200, etc

If you're using Board Express, go to Options Settings>Signature and change your signature to whatever you want. Otherwise you can uncheck Add signature and use none at all.

Oh so its app/game specific. No default name that we can apply directly to WP. Thanks

You can use the Windows Phone app for desktop to change the device name. Windows Phone app for desktop (Preview 2) | Windows Phone 8 | Windows Phone How-to | Windows Phone (United States)

- Open the Windows Phone App
- Click Settings
- Then click Preferences
- And then select Change Device Name

Do you mean signatures or device ID? Name of device when BT pairing and when you plug phone into computer for syncing. If its the later, I want to say when you plug it into computer to sync, it asks you to name your device. If you go to about in settings mine has "Conan920" listed under name. If this is what you are talking about, there is a way but its been a while and I can't remember exactly where I set it. I think it is during initial sync.
