How to delete gmail emails on 920?

1. Click delete. This is not working. I checked the mails on desktop browser. They are just archived.

2. Move to trash. not working either. Still being archived.

Is there anyway we can indeed delete gmail emails?

On your desktop, open Gmail, go in to your settings and look under "forwarding and pop/imap"
you will see this:

When I mark a message in IMAP as deleted:
Auto-Expunge on - Immediately update the server. (default)
Auto-Expunge off - Wait for the client to update the server.

When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder:
Archive the message (default)
Move the message to the Trash
Immediately delete the message forever

Perhaps the setting is in there that you wish to change?

I'm wondering this myself. You USED to be able to go to m.google.com/sync on your phone and change the delete behavior. The stupid thing was that it was tied to the phone and not to the account so if you got a new phone you had to to it again. Back in late January, I got a replacement 920 and tried to go to that page again - gone. Google's changed it and removed the ability to change your sync settings. Looks like they changed things about 2 months back.
