Is this portable charger compatible with 920? Nokia Universal Portable USB Charger DC-16 ? Nokia – Press

And if someone has it, can you charge it via some usb charger? I mean without a laptop/pc. I will be living without my laptop for about 6-7 months.

Yes, I use it with my 920 (and my other mobile devices).

The USB cable it comes with is standard, you can charge it up with the mains USB charger that came with your 920 (or pretty much any other one that supplies the suitable power. The unit has a standard type A USB connector at one end that connects to your phone to charge it via a standard to micro USB cable. At the other end is a micro USB socket that uses the same cable the other way around to connect to a USB power supply (either PC or mains plug).
Its a neat easy solution.
