Unlock Rogers Nokia Lumia 920 to use on Virgin

My friend wants to buy the Rogers lumia 920 in yellow, but he is on virgin canada. He said he will buy it full price from Rogers and pay $25 to unlock it. Is that possible? Could anyone help? Thanks! And btw, I'm in the US.

Rogers devices are all GSM. Virgin USA is a CDMA company. While it's possible to unlock the Rogers 920- I did, via cellunlocker.net- it will not work on Virgin USA; no GSM phone will.

I am using a Rogers unlocked black Lumia 920 on Virgin - so yes, once unlocked, it will work.

Hey bro thanks for the vid, i bought a lumia 920 off of kijiji and unlocked it this weekend to use it on virgin mobile, only thing is im not getting any lte but i am in a good lte reception area,
i used the accespoint app from nokia to set up the whole apn stuff, everything else works such as mms and stuff but no lte.

any suggestions??
