Lumia 920 Firmware Update

Hi WPCentral!

My Black Lumia 920 was purchased for me from UAE (Saudi Arabia I guess) Im residing here in the Philippines ( South East Asia) Can I run firmware update check and update my phone here if theres an available update? Will it affect my phone or enchance it or will it break my phone?

PS. I did run the update check it says theres an update available to download but im afraid to update my phone since im in PH and my phone was purchased from Saudi Arabia will it work? should i update it? thanks

Do it if you want, if it gets bricked, there is a fix so no worries or fears.

I bought my L920 in Singapore last December. I had the latest firmware update(Portico, I believe) done last month, outside of Singapore, here in the South Pacific without any problem.

I reckon you can go ahead and update the firmware and apps as well in the Philippines. Just make sure that your battery is near-full or the unit is plugged-in to give enough time to complete the download/installation process.
