Today was a bad day. Got out my car, went to put my 2 month old 920 into my shorts pocket and due to a lack of attention on my behalf ended up letting it drop down the outside of my leg and onto the floor. The phone fell about 3 foot and bang, screen is now cracked on the top half and the casing is dented. However due to it being a bank holiday and Nokia not being open on weekends I'm unable to give them a call to find out how much the accident will cost me. My guess is ?170-?200 mark, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a similar kind of damage and knew what the cost would be??
I'm pretty irritated after seeing how durable the phone was meant to be at how easily it got damaged. I believe it's because it landed on the corner which appears to be the weak spot. But the fault is of course myn! I'm thinking that I might just sell it on as broken and bite the bullet and pick up another device for a little bit more than I'm assuming it'll cost to repair.
