Go for Lumia 920 as you will have to wait for atleast next year to get any of newly launched phones and that too at more price. You can't get more VFM than this. Its an amazing phone and will get all the upcoming updates. GDR3 is icing on cake.

Yup I M Using it On My Lumia 925. Only thing i liked is improved Multitasking. That's It. GDR 3 What Microsoft Call it, is something already available for any basic android device (which does not cost more than ₹4000 ) and Microsoft took 2 years to provide it. Microsoft **** You. Bro Close your eyes and go for that. You can trust them. They provide Nokia warranty as well. What else do you need?? Don't listen to store people. They are silly ***holes. They just know how to make a sale. All products from flipkart are genune and brand new. But make sure you check the condition and description from the seller incase if its a used device. They wont hide even if its used device.

Guys, Nokia Lumia 520 at 6700 on Amazon India.
I feel like badly ripped of by Nokia, never going to buy another Nokia phone within first six months of its launch. My 820, which i purchased twice, costed me INR 53k. & now 920 sells for 21k. Never nokia, at least not in first six months of the device launch.
They always drop prices insanely.Last year also , they did same.
Lumia 800's price was slashed by 8-9k within 6 months and then by 4-5k within 4 months.
1020's price is like 50k at launch and it will be slashed to 35k in no time.
Btw Nokia 920 is 21,22K in only FLIPKART or Amazon. Cause it's an outdated model and they need to clear inventories most probably. Nokia Store still sells them at 32K.
heh I bought my 620 for 15K launch day and its still 13.5-14.5K official rate at most of the places(excluding cyber special deals). Its been seven months already(released in india on March 9th). Only thing about 620 is the disappointing battery when using internet, otherwise it's pretty much a decent phone!
All my phones have been nokia and i have been stupid enough to buy them near or on the lauch itself :eck:, 3110c for 4800, 5800 Xpressmusic for 19.5K, 2 820s for 53k total, 620 is the only one whose price drop is no problem. I have vowed never to buy a nokia within the first six months at least now.

But I think now Lumia 920 is being sold for ₹ 22/23 K online.

LTE unlocked means 4g ready,in other words u will have more option like 4g or LTE along with 2g and 3g in mobile network settings.
Nokia software updater for retail is a software by which u can manually update or flash it to the latest available update for your phone but at the same time all ur personal data on phone memory will be deleted.
One simple question : Lumia 820 (carrier unlocked) sold in India, is it 4G enabled (but not active at the moment and will be enabled in some future update) or it doesn't have the hardware to run 4G.
Asking this coz straight answer is nowhere available.
It is 4G enabled but bands are not supported here in India. Don't hold your breath for updates though.

The 4G bands that Lumia 820 supports are not supported by our country carriers so you will not be able to enjoy 4G on your Lumia.
You will have to purchase new phone when 4G launches in India.

Hmm I am owner of lumia 820.but I regret purchasing it even my low end android lava performs better compared in terms of battery life.the moment I switch my data on lumia 820 drains with continuous browsing of just 3 hers from 100%.the camera quality after black has bcum worse that am not taking any photos indoor or low light bcoz of green tinge.nd also am using my low end 512 mob droid more that too a brand like lava iris 458q .lumia 820 also becomes hot with playing games or browsing.hmm my next device would be definitely not nokia.nokia has lost in the world.but I haV to admit wp is is gr8 os no complaints.android lags but at least it gives gud battery life if not installing many apps.but nokia lumia is waste I paid almost 22000 for this phone now am regretting my decision.another think to mention is wp central app in android is superb compared to paid up app in wp 8.hmm that tells why android has become no. 1 os in the world.guys what is your opinion about nokia lumia 820.be honest guys let's share the rants here.

Lumia 820 is an excellent device but it has some cons , first of it has amoled display and low 1650 capacity battery. Try to lower the screen brightness , turn of glance and double tap to unlock feature as these are the main battery sucker , if you are using 3G internet then don't complain it will drain battery much faster when compared to old 2g network , to lower your bandwidth go to settings mobile networks ->highest connection speed. You must be having many apps open in background. If you have gdr3 update with black firmware , long press the back button and you will shown all the open apps in set of cards , press the X button to close the app. Also go to settings ->swipe right ->background task ->block the apps you don't want run in background without your permission. Also note that using whatsapp does suck your phones batTery , whatsapp team is trying their best to solve the problems in upcoming updates.

The green tinge you mentioned is a bug in many lumias after black, try searching for it, there might be a solutions somewhere, its fairly widespread. And frankly, lumias are superb devices, just that 820 has got a ridiculously small battery, so its not nokia/wp 's fault. Most lumias perform pretty well. My 520 has a smaller battery, and with full brightness,2g, double tap to wake, location, WiFi, and lots of usage, it still lasts more than 10-12 hours, and it can run for 20+ hours even. But 820 is a big phone with small battery, so understand...

man check somewhere, there must be a fix... This is a specific problem with pureview phones, many people have experienced it, someone must've found a trick. Otherwise lumias have got by far the best cameras ! If nothing works, go to nokia India site and do an online chat with their customer executives, they might help...
there is a quick fix , try to use nokia creative studio and play with different options like increase contrast,etc

been using L820 for past 4 months and from IND.
running on Black/GDR3..
problems:
1. multiples (X 21 times !!!) names of same file in MUSIC,PICTURES (if clicked via NOKIA CAMERA) and VIDEOS.
2. MUSIC PLAYER bug: when clicked on play a song, it freezes for like 3-5 mins, song starts playing, but the player doesnt open up, cannot control volume in that phase, it literally freezes with song playing.
3. BLUETOOTH : doesnt activate immediately, requires atleast 10-15 seconds to turn on.
4. DISPLAY HEATING: idk why, after continuous moderate usage, screen heats up and it feels irritating.
But what about maximum shutter speed. 1s or 4 s

After black update mine too went from 4sec to 1 sec
Try keeping ISO at 100 and shutter speed to automatic at night....you will get 4sec shutter speed again

After I take the photos, I select edit, then auto-fix "magic wand". That works. Black update really ruined the 820 camera...even my friends' 925 has the same issue.

I've installed 8.1 DP on my 820. Works fine. Will report on battery and other stuff when I have enough data.
I am using it for past two months. Minor bugs but battery isn't good.

Edit-
With 3G on, my battery dropped from 49% to 34% in 5 minutes. It's a joke of a battery in the Lumia 820.
Switch to 2G and it gets some more life, thought still not good. Also, what good is a phone if I can't use 3G on it for the fear of running out of juice!
Finally I got black colour back panel with wireless charging, it is better than normal back panel. It was slightly bigger than normal one. But camera could not touch surface and secured by scraches.
