screen issues with my (actually, my dad's) new 720

hi. i just got a new white 720 for my dad. the screen apparently is full of horizontal lines (evenly spaced). display ppi is less, as i know it. but even on my friend's galaxy s2 with same screen size and resolution, the pics don't look that bad.
when viewed from a distance, the display is good. even viewing angles are great. but that lack of detail and those lines do get a little annoying.
is this in general with all 720s? or should i get mine checked at a nokia care centre?

Thats a shatter proof coating OR Gorilla Glass 2 thing, can be seen when the phone is off doesn't really bother you unless you turn off the screen and keep staring at it. It looks like a wall made of evenly laid bricks, as for lower quality don't have an S2 to compare, might be brightness thing?

Try a factory restore. If that does not work, Nokia Care Centre.
