I am a little worried too, since I had a snowy winter I have yet to experience warm weather with my Lumia...

So... sand in the edge of screen ? seeing how much dust gathers there I'm tempted to put tape on my phone or something

How do you guys carry your Lumias in the summer? no short pocket can handle this beaut =( I have to constantly yield this badboy

I have to say, the lumia video camera excels when recording videos at the beach at sunset. So far I haven't gotten anything better from the camera than there. Crazy sunset colours in the sky with ultra crisp silhouettes. As for sand, it tends to not be such a problem since the grains are bigger than the dust particles that get under the camera.

Well, I live on an island. There are beaches everywhere!

No special treatment on beach days. I just hold it in my hand as always.

I went to the beach on dubai with my yellow naked 920, no special treatment and no regrets, snapped photos and videos with my dusty hand and went home happy,
I have to say I dont have this front camera dust problem, so I think my 920 is properly sealed

I hike with it in all kind of weather. Dust is starting to accumulate in the front camera but I knew about the flow from the beginning since I saw dust from the beginning.

I go hiking, climbing, on sand dunes, and yes, to the beach quite often. Sometimes, I put it in a sealable ziplock bag, put usually it just goes around naked. My friends are always jealous with the picture quality vs. their iPhones and Androids!

Been to the beach tens of times. Don't roll it in the sand. Don't toss it in the surf.

THE 920 IS NOT A FLOTATION DEVICE.

Otherwise, it's no different than any other phone at the beach.

Was at the beach today with my white 920 nothing special. Just tossed it in the beach bag and kept my hands dry and free from sand when I snapped a few shots

I just took my white 920 phone through a color run. Held it in my hand as I jogged and at points where I was completely engulfed with colored corn starch, the phone performed great! So there shouldn't be too much worry of sand in your phone unless you're repeatedly smashing your phone into the sand.

I have been taken my Lumia 920 on the beach couple of times, even record a sea standing in the water, and one wave was so strong, that some water was even on Lumia... But it is all okay, no problems.
