Taking the best pictures with my new 928

I have to admit, I caught some pretty good shots with my former Lumia 810. But I'm traditionally a point and shooter and since getting the 810 and now the far better 928, after switching to Verizon, I've been much more interested in amateur phone cam photography. I'd love any advice for a total noob at this. Remember, keep it simple. I'm very new at anything more complicated than point and click. Thanks.
