Battery inconsistent on reset

Yesterday my battery was at 57% when I turned it off at work. When I rebooted the phone to make a call, then phone jumped up to 73%. Today I did the same thing and went from 38% to 44%. Is anyone else seeing this inconsistency with the battery on reset?

This happens alot. The battery reading in WP8 is horrible. Hopefully it is fixed in a future update.

same here, i dont know why. I used to think that it is an indicator of deformed battery but my 2 days old 920 did the same.
