I tried this on a glossy white shell. Unfortunately I had to remove everything but the actual charger, otherwise the tension on the shell would press my volume down button constantly. Now I wonder what that silver pad might be for, and if I can replace it with something thinner. Maybe it's for electromagnetic shielding.

My question is....has anyone done this or know of anyone who has done this mod to the back cover of a lumia 822??!??!
The wireless charging shell of the lumia 822 is NOWHERE to be found (only for 40$ from Verizon).... if I get a shell from the 810 or 820, will this work/fit on the 822?

Don't know about the 822, but the 820 and 810 look to have totally different charging circuits.
