Here's something to tide us over until the 11th: a photo of Microsoft's Joe Belfiore himself taken with a Lumia 1020, at least according to EXIF data. It has been exported by Adobe Lightroom though so this is not straight from the camera.

Cool! I wonder how it does in low light. I always heard that pixel count to sensor size can be an issue.

That comparsion doesn't really work with the new Lumia, as it should (fail if it doesn't..) have OIS which in turn would allow it for the better low light support, which should output some incredible images.

Then again no idea, would the Sensor be to big to support OIS practically? It's about 1cm?..
But really there must be some good reason to have this huge hump on the Phone when a much smaller hump just for the sensor would have worked if it weren't for OIS

Paavo Nurmi Marathon 2013 - Saturday the 29th June. Photo was taken little over a week ago so it really could be Lumia 1020.

From the small file size looks like it's already downsampled to 3MP, yet the level of detail and clarity at such low resolution is quite characteristic of the Pureview 808. So it's entirely possible that it's the Lumia 1020. Btw, anyone knows what Nokia accessory he has clipped on his shirt?

Look at the hump on Nokia 808. It doesnt claim OIS hardware. Bigger Sensor= Bigger Lens.
It wont be a fail if doesnt have OIS. OIS is a blessing and a curse, look at Lumia 920 pictures in daylight or bright settings, they are blurry 4/5 times.

At 100 iso I suspect that the 808 would produce a cleaner image, but this is early days.. if they have the hardware, the jpeg processing will eventually get to where it needs to be.

No, but you can see how it performs at iso800 .. which is what you need at night. Its not going to have OIS..
