A soft reset is power button and volume down till the phone vibrates. It will reboot.

After you do that, put your phone in airplane mode and do not use the phone.

Download the battery app and after about an hour of NOT using the phone, take note of your discharge speed.

Battery | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

So download the app via wifi, turn off wifi again, then just take not of discharge, or do I need to charge it?

I'm shocked whenever I read threads like this. My 920 can last me a day and a half or so on a single charge. I last charged yesterday, more than 26 hours ago and it's still at 37% with an estimated 8 hours remaining. It helps to turn off certain things, like NFC and such.

My 920 battery died 4 days ago and I had to talk to AT&T to get a replacement. Thankfully they sent me a brand new nokia lumia 920 in less than 12 hours. I was having serious issues with battery drain (lasting 4-7 hours top with no heavy use). Nokias phone is great but they definetly need to do a better job with the battery.

Do you have the cellular carrier "Network Selection" set or is it on Automatic? I was in New Orleans a few weeks ago and was roaming. If it was set on Automatic, it would constantly try to find a network and kill the battery in a couple of hours. Once I set it to a network and took it off automatic, the battery lasted for the day easily.

I'm convinced this issue has to do with LTE coverage and how the software tries to connect to it. You're probably in a good location. Mine would last me two days easily at home during the weekends, but once I get home from work I get a serious battery drain almost every day. If I restart the phone it stops the drain. I get no reception at work so somehow it's a combination of the two. I've on my 3rd phone, for different reasons, and it was the same with all three.

Its just an OS bug. Mine does this sometimes and some days it works fine. Same location. Nothing helps. Tried everything.

Wait and see if any updates fix it.

I can get a couple of days average use out of mine.
That includes leaving it on overnight so the alarm goes off in the morning (come on MS, sort this out!!)

The battery on my 920 is pretty good. Only time it really drains is if I'm watching a lot of youtube vids at 720p.

At average usage with 3 emails (2 synced hourly 1 as items arrive), whatsapp, checking up on news, watching a few videos, checking on social networks, I get solid usage. At least a full day. WPCentral and Whatsapp are the only other background tasks at the end of the list:

If battery is that bad, it might be worth taking it back or getting Nokia Care Point to take a look at it. Should still be under warranty.
