Slow Wi-Fi

Is anybody else having slower wi-fi speeds with the 925?

When connected to my home network I'm getting around 20meg download but when running the same test using the same app at the same time on my iPhone 5 I'm getting 36-40meg.

Just seems strange that I'm getting half the speed when everything else is equal.

Hopefully a software update can solve this.

Have you tried a soft reset?

Just tried the soft reset as well. No change.

Nobody else suffer from this?

Reluctant to do a hard reset and lose all my set up if this is common on the 925's

WLAN chip on iPhone 5 could be more sensitive. It also depends on your signal/noise, CCQ. Even 2 same devices can have different performance. Right now, I am getting with my 925 30 Mbps down / 25 Mbps up, i have -65 dBm signal / -90 dBm noise, CCQ almost 100% when testing (TX/RX rate 65Mbps).

I wouldn't say that your phone is defective.

This seems to happen on my 925 when using 5Ghz wi-fi. Most of the time it seems fine, then it decides to work slowly. What the cause of this is I have no idea. Most likely a firmware bug.

The cursory check that I just did here at home got me 35+. Definitely WiFi, since I don't get any lte where I live.

I've been having problems with my 920 running on my 5GHz Cisco router at home. Downloads are running .4-.6 Mbps and uploads are around 10 Mbps. Craps about to drive me crazy, and no resets, etc. have solved the problems. Even my old iPad will do 16-18 up and 12-15 down. The 920 on AT&T 4G is 12-15 up and 10-12 down. If anyone has suggestions I'm all ears!

I noticed that the 5ghz network isn't available in airplane mode when you turn wifi on, but the 2.4 ghz network is. That being said, I'm having the same slow wifi on the 2.4 ghz network too.
