Lumia 920 from India - can I get AT&T LTE?

I have an unlocked/unbranded, relatively new (1 month old) Lumia 920 from India. It shows as RM-821_im_india_443 with OS version 8.0.10211.204 and firmware 1232.5957.1308.0001.

I *thought* this device supported a variety of LTE bands, but I just put an AT&T SIM and enrolled in an LTE plan and the max I get is H+ speed. Is this because of some sort of firmware limitation? If so, is there a way to bypass it? Is there hope that the upcoming GDR2+Amber updates may detect this limitation and open up LTE for use with AT&T?

Kinda bummed. :-(

The specs removed LTE because of some issues Nokia had around LTE type on the phone. Since no provider really has LTE for cell phones in India, they removed from the spec page to be safe.

For what it's worth, I wasn't able to get LTE on my (unlocked developer) BUILD L920 on AT&T until I gave them an AT&T L920 IEMI. I called them up and said I was switching to a L920, gave them the other IEMI, and magically it worked. I'm not sure what they did on the back end but once I did that, I was able to get on LTE.
