Text Message & Incoming Call Tones w/Headphones

Can someone explain why when i have my headphones in
the text message sound as well as incoming call ringtone play thru the speaker on the phone opposed to the headphones?

yet the key sounds when typing play through headphones, as well as the little man who politely reads a new message?

my take on this ..

In case you plug in ear/headphones and leave the device on a table and go to, say, the refrigerator for a few seconds, you would ideally like to be able to hear calls and texts ... however you don't need to hear the keypresses and the man/woman stuck in the phone coz they are not too relevant.

well i doubt starbucks likes to hear my ringer

nor every text i get when a text war flares up obviously i mute the phone when that begins
but alas.................................................

AND why the heck does the volume effect not just my music but notification/ring tones as well?

Really? There isn't a separate ringer volume? That's definitely disheartening if that's the case.

I noticed this too and then was questioning if it ever did that on my 920 or 900, but was like 'no way, something has changed'.

Hopefully a quick fix comes out for it.
