Screen scratches - Any fix?

My screen has surface level "scratches" that don't appear to be actual scratches in the glass, but in the coating on top of the glass. It makes for a miserable user experience. Anyone successfully fix or remove the entire coating?

Only thing that may work that I used on an older gorilla glass 1 Motorola device is Meguiars scratch-x. Its meant for car headlights but can be useful for other things as well
