Lumia 920, dim the screen without locking the phone?

Hey Guys,

As the title suggests, is there anyway to get my 920 to dim or turn off display without actually locking the phone? I have my lock screen time out set for 3 minutes but what i really want is to have it set to never and have the phone display turn off to help with saving the battery.

To keep it from turning off automatically go to lock screen > screen times out after and then select never. You can dim the display by going to brightness then you can select automatically adjust or select the level to low.

If you want the screen to turn off just press the lock button.
