Double tap to wake is not implemented for 620.

Hey, i enquired about updating Lumia 620 with nokia software update retailer with nokia care India. They highly recommended not to update with nokia software update and asked whether will i b void of warranty, they didn't said anything about tat other then waiting for official OTA update. So think before updating your phone via nokia software update.

There is no breach of warranty in case you update your phone using Nokia Software Updater for Retail, after all NSUR is an official Nokia application and not some third-party application. The reason Nokia Care does not recommend using it is probably because updating your phone using NSUR will wipe off everything and make your phone 'fresh' again and this is something not everyone is aware of.

I say it is completely safe to go ahead and update your Lumia with NSUR. Besides, if you have more than one Lumia in your house, there will be no need to download updates for each of them as the once downloaded ROM can be used on each of those phones. (Of course, a ROM for 520/620/720 will not work for 820/920.)

Hi-- Need some help for my lumina 520. The Nokia care app opens and closes within 2-3 second before I can navigate or read anything! I have restarted the phone but no use? Any solutions?

Also I am not getting any GDR 2 amber update when I check for updates ; my phone is set to auto download of updates and I have good net speed?

I too getting same issue with Nokia Care App. It is closing within 3-4 seconds of opening.... Any solutions found.. please send me.. kam.sun.kar@hotmail.co.in

Use Nokia Software Updater for Retail.

Unfortunately, the GDR2 firmwares for all Lumia devices have been pulled back from Nokia servers. They'll be back within the next 5-6 days when Nokia officially releases GDR2 for India.

It's the GDR1 update.
My 620 came with 1030.6407.1308.0001. Nokia Software Updater for Retail shows 1030.6407.1308.0002 available for my 620, but I won't update as there is no difference between 1030.6407.1308.0001 and 1030.6407.1308.0002. In the next 5-6 days, we'll get the new GDR2 update anyway.

Unfortunately, YES, it was a waste of time and effort.

I don't know why they provided that update, maybe they added Storage Check in it as it was absent in 0001. I purchased my 620 back in April and 0001 did not come with Storage Check back then.

It too bought on April 2nd it came with 0001,and for me storage check also gave and it works fine till now most of the temp files i cleared in that storage check only.

Yes touch wasnt as smooth when I updated now seems ok.

Faced similar issue....Try Nokia Software Updater ...Have downloaded and installed amber update and working satisfactorily.
