Yay, successful flash here with unbranded phone & carrier from Netherlands! Thanks Vega! It gave some warning with "product ID not detected yet, proceed? " to which I answered yes and it all went great and only took a couple of mins!

(misread the instructions too; to the other ones like me: don't connect your phone until the final steps)

Just a tiny warning: the backup and restore for texts etc. only works if your mobile has internet via a sim during first bootup. In my case it thought it was roaming, which was apparently disabled. So I couldn't restore any of these things. But also wrong (default) APN settings can cause this, and because there's no way to change any of these settings, you won't be able to restore them. (restore ONLY works at that point, first boot, with no WIFI option)

Anyway the update did do a lot of good though:

1. FIXED: Problem with the touch screen sometimes not working when trying to unlock phone, requiring 2x press of power button to turn screen off and on
2. FIXED: Notifications (Whatsapp working like a charm! Email "push" working too)
3. New: Data Sense! Yes it's working, and I'm willing to bet it's not because of my carrier

Overall I can say it finally feels stable and reliable. This was what I was hoping for (and finally wp8 feels like it's worth recommending to friends and family)

Just wanted to give a headsup.

P.s The torrent's speeds are pretty good

I must do something wrong, nothing happens when I start Flashing. Or must I be more patient.
I think I have a problem: After starting the Product Support Tool for Store I get a error-message on lower right side: Data package selection failed: Acces is denied.Verify credentials. Whats wrong? I gave all files admin rights. Open Nokia Care Suite with admin rights.

I was able to flash and update (16-8-13) my Lumia 820, just by using Nokia Software Updater For Retail (3.0.8) Just as simple as that.....
Couldn't be easier than that.....

thanks VegaNovus! was able to install the update and found a way to also install Pro Cam! with my memory space dwindling down i had to flash the damn phone. hopefully, this fixes the memory problem that has plagued me for months

When i use my Nokia Monster Purity headphones with the radio app, the volume level decrease and i can't hear nothing. This hapends when i use the plug of the headphones with the three black lines. When i turn it and use the other plug side (the plug side with only two black lines) the app works fine. It's just my phone or any one else have this issue?

Worked perfect so far for last 1 week.... ONLY thing which looks like missing for me is - 'Auto Update' option in Date + Time setting. Can anyone check and confirm if they see 'Update automatically' option for Date+Time setting after this update? I lost it somehow ... while I remember I was having it earlier !!

Just flashed my Fully Unlocked Australian 820. Worked perfectly and I was also able to restore my backed up text's, etc.
