While we all clamor and the 1020 (justifiably) but I have started wondering about the update to the 920, 925, 928. What do you imagine will come to the 930/940? What features/hardware do you want that fit within the 92X series?

I honestly hope they don't release that 6 inch phablet as the only option for ATT users. I want a smaller phone between 4.5-5 inches(less bezel than 92x series) 1080p (not necessary but nothing bad about it) quad core, 16-20mp pureview camera, 8mm thickness and colored aluminum. I'm not asking for that much! haha

well.. gdr3 is supposed to support quad cores chipsets and 1080p display.. but remember.. no 92x from the actualy line needs this quad core set, at least not at my 920, it never lags and never gets ''stuck''.. wp8 is very smooth and responsive..

phones screen are small, so the human eye can't tell much difference from 720p to 1080p display, some say you can't even see different due to the ''limit'' for dpi for human eye..

I would stay with 920, now that it has amber update, camera is pratically the same as in 925, while 920 still has 32gb against 16gb from the 925, and I prefer 920's design MUCH more than 925's.. it's up to you =)

The next flagship should have a Snapdragon 600 or Snapdragon 800 and a 1080p display, as well as 2 GB of RAM. That much is certain. No, even low-end WP8 devices don't lag, but pushing forward isn't a bad thing. Increased battery capacity would be nice, as well. A lot of people would like to see devices as thin as the Lumia 925, though I personally don't mind the size or weight of my 920.

I don't see Nokia rushing to push any non-refresh devices out with GDR3. We may see some sort of refresh for the Lumia 520, 720, or 820, but that's about all I would expect. The next generational release will likely take place concurrently with Windows Phone 8.1; this has traditionally been the approach on Windows Phone.

Yea, I definitely agree with you about the 1080p and quad core not being necessary with windows phone. But like you said, it's coming with GDR3, so I wouldn't expect their flagships to continue with 720p and dual core processors.
