Hi guys, I have the Indian variant of the Nokia Lumia 820 (RM-826). SInce the european version of the firmware is available, I am interested in flashing it but I don't want to end up bricking my device. I had the following doubts.

    1. Has anypne flashed the RM-825 firmware to the RM-826?
    2. Have you faced any issue on doing so?
    3. Which firmware among the ones available did you use? Also does it unlock the LTE bands?

I would recommend you to hold on for the official GDR2 firmware for India. Till next Saturday the GDR2 will be officially released. (Rumours say 12th August.) Waiting for 5-6 days doesn't hurt, does it? :) Besides, as far as I know, using a European ROM will breach your warranty.

Chances of bricking your phone depends on the process while flashing your phone, if it gets interrupted it will brick. Getting a firmware base on region will make your phone not functioning properly due to various bandwith, telco settings but it will not brick, flashing is risky, so before doing so study various rom if not then leave it and wait for ota.
