I recently purchased a Dev. Edition 920 and I'm running it on NET10(ATT) which I was on with my Nexus 4. Question I have is what should I expect time wise in getting GDR2/Amber on this phone OTA being on a prepaid service like NET10? Any thoughts on that question? I just got this phone to try out WP8 so I'm new to WP and how the updates generally will go with different carriers.

What a great ending to the week! Got home from work today and was relaxing on the deck and picked my phone up and SURPRISE!! I got a notification for an update and now I'm running Amber!! Got Data Sense running and FM tuner is working on my 920.

just picked up a used unlocked Rogers 920. First thing I did was a factory reset (don't get me started on that 3+ hr process...). Finally got it working, and first thing I did was go into software updates to update it. The update was available, so I installed it.

Something is weird though - I think I have GDR2 (since I have Data Sense), but I don't think I got the Amber update because I can't get that Pro Cam app.

Any idea why it wouldn't send the Amber update? On the Nokia support page, it says Rogers 920 is 'approved'.

I have the same problem, Henry. Mine is a Honk Kong version, here a little discussion about that problem. Maybe we need to wait a little more.

Did any of you notice that there is no "Radio Volume Out" or "Speaker Out" option?

What exactly should those functions do?

your phone is on gdr2 if you have data sense, try installing nokia smart cam app, btw the pro cam is removed frm the stores don't know why due to some bugs and errors( it was buggy on l920) I have it installed from day one but now when I search it in the store it says app is not available in your country(India). Another reason they pulled out the app because many lumia 620,820,520 users were able to install the pro cam via proxy hack so I hope in the next update if someone try to install the nokia pro cam it wont work on non pure view camera and bugs might be fixed. I am not sure about this.

Firmware for Lumia 820 on EE to GDR2 now available via Nokia Software for Retail so the 920 version may also be available !!!!!!!!

I'm still waiting too. Nokia Hong Kong said I have to wait until middle of month, I am going to do that, then, if I don't get the update, I will use Nokia Software Updater.

Pressing and holding on the frequency wil pop-up menu with options where smthng like Speaker Out (I'm not sure this is exact phrase since I use Russian interface) is present

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch to another carrier when my contract's up. AT&T is just hot street-trash about letting their phones get updated.

I'm from Italy and I bought it through nstore.it but the fw version didn't match the Italian country-variant one. Anyway, now, every 920 country variant that had that fw now have the update 'Available'... so where is mine?!?

You are not the only one with this problem. My phone is a L920 Hong Kong version (1232.5957.1308.0004) and I don't know a single person who has received the update with this FW.

Eduardo, I was thinking that I was lucky, because mine isn't a brazilian firmware (I live in Brazil too), but after that, I'm not so sure.
I work with computer engineering, I know a firmware update is a safe process, you only have to be careful not to overwrite any bootloader section, but I want to this via OTA.
