l was wondering if you guys could post up pictures you took before and after your amber update. has your picture quality improved after the update or it has gotten worse? here is mine. the lower picture is before the update the upper is after the update. looks like the upper got more details than the lower. thats what l think. more pictures coming.

That's quiet a difference, I haven't taken any good pics yet with my amber 920 yet to compare.
Sure will try out soon

Looks to me like they weren't taken at the same time of day, which has a great effect on color/contrast. The bottom picture looks like the sun was more directly overhead than in the top picture. Since you put the two pictures together, we can't see the timestamps in the EXIF data, but if you could check the time stamps and let us know, that would be great. Also, were the sky conditions the same?

A better way to do a picture comparison, would be a in controlled environment.
With your picture there are way too many variables that that can drastically effect the outcome.

He has plants growing on the fence in the second one! Definitely some different conditions there. Just thought that was kind of funny. At first I assumed both were taken at the same time.

Not sure if the quality is way better, but I can tell you the picture taking process is way better.

Prior to Amber if you took a picture you had to be very still because when it actually make the picture noise it didn't actually take the picture.. it was like a split second after that. You'd hear the sound then relax your grip and the picture would be blurry, or your kids would pose, hear the snap then move resulting in a blurry picture. It actually bothered me a lot.

Now with Amber it takes the picture you expect it to take a picture. All my snaps are nice and clear. I love it.

the pics was taking at different days but the same time of the day. l am not sure if the sun exposer gave different contrast, but when l snapped this pics l thought l would post them up, and see what you guys have in mind about the difference.l would take a different picture tomorrow and compare them again.

yea the sky conditions were the same. do you think kneeling and taking pictures will produce different results from standing and taking pics. that kind of looks like thats what l did in these pictures

My gf has a 928 and did the amber update recently. Then I downloaded the Nokia camera app (I can't remember what it's called - the one with the concentric circles to make adjustments) and set that as the default camera app under settings.

She showed me some pics that she took last night that were absolutely amazing! The quality was just incredible, and this was all on the auto setting. She showed me, basically saying, "Look how much better the pictures are!"

They were all outdoor daytime nature shots.

i think my quality has gone down. I mean one day it was fine, then it just seem to lose quality after a few days ago.

This so far seems to be my experience as well. At first I thought it was something I might be doing wrong but so far I don't think so. My next step us to go back to using the basic photo lens and see how that works.

mine is in reverse. it had more contrast outdoors than it used to be. below are some pictures l took with a friends samsung galaxy s4 and my lumia 928 yesterday. for some unknown reason when l transfered the pics from his phone to my phone his pictures looked better on my phone than his. his pictures looked washed out on his samsung. the tops ones are the lumia 928 and button is s4.
