Stop delete from server

I have a Nokia Lumia 520 on OS 8.0.10211.204

I have setup one email account. This is a POP account.

The problem I have is that when I delete an email on the Nokia 520 and the phone next syncs my email, the deletions are replicated to the email server.

After my Nokia has done a sync cannot upload the same messages to my PC since they have been deleted.

There is plenty of information everywhere on how to sync email but none on how to stop it syncing on deletion.I cannot find a setting in the email config to stop deletions off the server. Most phones don't even allow deletion from the server. This is very frustrating. Does anyone know how to configure the 520 email settings in this way ?

I Think that's how it works. You just have to keep them until you have downloaded them to your computer.

I have noticed this happening to me in the last few months. It didn't work this way in the past. I have been getting my business email for over 3 years this way. I don't see a choice on my phone to delete email from the server.
