HTC 8x support Bluetooth 2.0?

I have a Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth headset, and it refuses to pair with my HTC Windows Phone 8x. It will not even discover it to try to pair. I know it is Bluetooth 2.0 and phone is 3.0 but is there something I'm missing? A workaround perhaps? Any and all help appreciated, thanks!

Hi and welcome to WPCentral. The Plantronics Voyager 520 is an old Bluetooth headset (introduced in 2009). I just checked the Windows Phone Central Store, and it shows that Bluetooth device does not work with any Windows Phones (not even my Lumia 900).



You'll need a new Bluetooth headset.

Solved!

I was after some kind of reset option, searching google, when I realized I hadn't been seeing the correct lights. Red, red, blue, every few seconds; I needed red, blue, red, blue constantly. Also turned both phone and headset on at the same time, and managed to get them to discover. Works great, quality is about like speakerphone. Thanks anyway!
