My wife has a Lumia 920 she has recently got a gig interviewing metal bands for a podcast however we don't have any kit for recording and rather than spend a lot of money on an unpaid job it we were looking to use the Lumia 920.

Ideally want we are after is a decent app for recording and a microphone (whether Bluetooth or wired) that will work with it to give a reasonable sound quality interview.

Has anyone else done this/have any recommendations?

The 920 has 3 HAAC microphones on-board. With the Nokia Pro Camera app, you have the option for audio bass filtering. If I were you I'd record 1080p video's with the phone and use the sound recorded from the phone for the interview.

Yes, just give it a practice run before you do the real deal.

Got this in the end: http://amazon.co.uk/dp/B007517AKK?ta...pUvbUpU2168136

Awesome sound quality, comes with a little stand and looks a bit more professional than just sticking your phone in someone's face.

Meh, me thinks the mics in your 920 would do much better. Especially if you wanna record live performances. I've recorded multiple performances (Tomahawk/QOTSA) and the audio quality is flawless in high DB situations. Also, I like this app for voice recordings: Pocket Recorder™ | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
It can even automatically upload to SkyDrive.
