Edge networks on Lumia 520

I have a lumia 520 unlocked (not from any operator) and it does not connect to edge networks. I only have GPRS, 3G and H+. In my previous mobile with android I had edge network whenever I chose 2g networks. In mi new phone, always I choose 2g it connects to GPRS networks and It never connects to EDGE, which is faster tan GPRS.

?Is it normal? ?What can I do?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with lack of EDGE network on your 520.

What carrier do you have?

What carrier is your 520 branded to?

Try switching to another network's SIM, then back again. If any of them works on EDGE, it's the carrier's fault. If none of them work...try doing everything in your power to make it so.

It connects to Edge when switching to 2g here in Etisalat, But it might be just a matter of the network signal where you live.

my problem is the same. Turkcell GSM 2g does not work. but Avea GSM works well.
