So the 1020 launched in Canada 3 days ago, and there are practically no ads.

I'm sick and tired of iPhone posters at retail stores, malls and ads on TV.
Also the new iPhones are featured on the main page of every single carrier,
whereas the 1020 is buried 4-5 pages deep, like another 2-year old phone.

Just to give you an idea of how bad this is,
the 1020 is currently the 29th phone in the Featured Phones list on Rogers (Ontario website)

I was hoping MS / Nokia would address this issue this time around!

I had mine on preorder for the free Camera Grip they were offering. I pick it up the day after launch in store (the day before I was stuck at work until the store closed). The Rogers store rep tells me as they're opening the box to make sure it works, "This is the first 1020 I've ever seen". I ask if there were any other preorders at that store, they not only tell me no, but other than my 1 preorder, they've received 0(!!) 1020 stock.

Damn shame as this is easily the best smartphone I've ever owned by far (started nexus one, iPhone, Galaxy Nexus, to the 1020)

At least you got yours. Mine is still in a warehouse somewhere. Maybe Wednesday. I ordered mine 2 days after announced and I wad 4th in line, maybe that is for the store. I hope so.

Telus has been doing a great job promoting 1020, especially at the Black's photo. Shame on Rogers!!
Also it's great to see Nokia's promo booth during Nuit Blanche.

There will be a launch party this week or next week, I hope after that Rogers will really promote the phone!

I got mine from Microsoft store in Metrotown. There was another person buying one too.
Got mine from Rogers and then unlocked it for Telus.

And I broke down and got the camera grip. ;)

Had a lot of people looking at my phone. I kind of like having something different

Is Internet Sharing working?

Sort of. I added the apn app suggested here and it works. Just have to change apn to ISP.telus.com when sharing. Would be nice if you could just add apn profiles to switch between.
