It has been told that L620 will not have FM radio support as it didn't have the necessary hardware or software inside the the phone which supports it.
But if you go in the "about" menu in the setting and see the phone information it will display some Radio software Version. What is this software version then.??

Lumia 620 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 t. According to manufacturer's own information, chipset supports fm radio. But there is a footnote: "Requires additional components". See the spec below

If that is the case...why nokia was not able to provide FM radio support for L620 ?

Maybe if somebody can hack this ;)

Always a shame we don't see the software appear by Microsoft, but by Nokia.

If we got it from Microsoft, they would release a general version, Nokia releases a changed version

It was because of the external headphone connection which might be unstable for radio connection or affect signaling?

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken cellphones use earplugs as fm antennas. So the "removable" P2 plug may be the issue.

Nokia calls it a solid and reliable connection between the phone and the external connection, so it's possbile, they just don't want to give it to us!
