So I want a Lumia 920.....

Currently rocking a HTC HD7 running windows 7.8.
I really like windows phones and I am now eager to ditch this outdated HTC and get windows 8.
I have been eyeing a Nokia Lumia 920 but there are soooo many Lumias around,so basically what's the difference between say a 920 and 720?
My thinking, in a nutshell, is that any number lower than 920 is worse and any that is higher (925, 1020) is better?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

All Lumias are good all depends what you want out of it. 920 is awesome its my personal phone great camera and plenty of memory. Very tough phone too dropped several times no issues but like I said all Lumias are good phones

Go for it. I have a 920 and I think it is great for my needs. I love photography so I'd love to have a 1020 but then I have an SLR. Also, 1020 does not have built in wireless charging. Although you can purchase a snap-on cover to get wireless charging. Lumia 920 has it built in and I love that feature. Makes it a little heavier but who cares. It still takes fantastic photos and will most certainly get all the updates that 1020 will(with exception of some super amazing photography updates that require hardware that 1020 has but 920 does not). Also 1020 has 2gb of RAM vs 1gb for 920. The low end Lumias are great phones mind you. Just that they lack some apps that require at least 1gb RAM to run. But the developers are doing an excellent job of supporting low end Lumia since they are generating the most revenue. Overall, don't think you can go wrong with any Nokia Lumia

Up to the 1020, you are basically correct, though some prefer lower models depending on certain options.

i think apart from the camera the 920 is better than the 925 but normally goes number wise but if you don't care about having the latest phone then go for 920, gets the same updates as 925 and 1020 and more durable than 925 in m opinion

Cheers for the responses. I also like the wireless charging idea, seems like a decent feature.
I didn't know about the 1gb Ram needed for apps though, that's good info.
If it also gets the same updates as the 925 and 1020 then I think it is pretty much a straight forward choice to get the 920.

I just got a 920 today and I'm loving it.

Some points:

- If you are into camera/photos and have money, get the 1020

- Wait and see the news tomorow. If you buy a 920 or simmilar, don't forget to update to amber and ad the nokia apps (camera pro, smart camera, nokia here drive...).
