With AT&T getting a working display model of the 1520 well in advance of availability of the device for sale you'd think Verizon might get the same for the 929. Except for size pretty much identical specs anyway. Be nice to be able to see it and give it a test. Yet not even a peep, and its supposed to be in stores for sale in less than a week? I'm starting to wonder about that, but its Verizon after all, right? Might explain a lot.

This can't be happening on the 21st. Releasing on Black Friday would be weird too. I'm starting to think either the 26th or ... next year. :(

Also I found a picture of a otterbox case for the 929 in infomanager.

No freakin' way! I've been tweeting OtterboxCS off and on for weeks about releasing an Otterbox for the 928. Flagship Vzw phone and Otterbox is being stubborn about it. Oh OtterboxCS is gonna have their inbox blown up!

Even tho Verizon does releases normally on Thursday I'm honestly gonna say the 22nd will be the date. The reason? The 1520, 2520 and Xbox One all release that day. I heard Microsoft was having a huge campaign trying to push their devices. ATT is offering special price on the 2520 if a Lumia Phone is purchased with it. I'm sure Verizon will do the same thing plus we already seen ads for black Friday which lists Verizon's 2520 at $399 with a contract, this all tells me the 929 will be next week.

You guys really think the 929 is worth upgrading to from the 928? Spec-wise? What would I gain from a 929 that my 928 doesn't offer?

The 22nd is release day for the 1520 on ATT. I don't see any reason they both wouldn't release on the same day. Or better yet Verizon will trump ATT and release on the 21st.

When's 929 coming to non-Verizon aka no longer being Verizon exclusive? This should be great if it happens!

I don't think it will. Next phone to be released to other carriers will probably be in the fall with WP8.1 devices.

My bet is still that this device is coming this week. Most likely the 21st or 22nd. They will want to release the 2520 at the same time as AT&T, and that means that they will be releasing the 929 at the same time.

I think this phone has a more appealing screen size than the 1520, if it is indeed at 5 inches. Is there any confirmation about whether or not there will be a 64gb version of this phone, or if it has a micro SD slot? I won't buy it if I'm stuck with just 64gb.

I wouldn't hold your breath on a 64GB version (though if the rumors are true it would be awesome) and certainly not a SD card version. I forget the exact percent but it's like less than 5% need more than 8GB on their phones. It doesn't make sense to cater to such a small market.

Sound's like you'll be quite disappointed when you find out it's going to be 32gb with no expandable storage...

Nokiapoweruser and WMpoweruser aren't very reliable in my opinion. And their source is probably the Verizon employees on this forum. But they're just telling us what we already know. The plan was/is for the device to be released 11/21. Hopefully it's still on track and hopefully they make an announcement today.

Not getting my hopes. Low expectations...lol. I still think next week. I just don't see it dropping before the 1520.

I think so for better battery life I barely get more than 7-8 hours if that out my 928 with medium to heavy usage. If the 929 has a 3400 nah battery with quad core processors it should give u all day battery life like the s4 and HTC one gets

It depends. If your contract isn't up I'd certainly say no. If you are happy with your phone for the most part I'd still say no and wait to see what comes out in the next 6 or 7 months. Granted you can always play they waiting game but if you got the 929 and then they came out with the 1021 on Verizon in two months you might be pissed.

I'm getting the 929 because I'm on an Android that I want to retire and go back to Windows Phone. However if I was on the 928 I don't think I'd change.
