Looking for input on pricing on a couple phones

I am going to pick up a Windows Phone this week probably. I am on Verizon and used the 822 for a while and liked it quite a bit. I have the opportunity to buy one of two phones. The HTC 8X for $175 brand new and never used or a 928 for about $240 and lightly used but like new. Other than the usual calls, text, email and some social media I use my phone for pictures quite a bit. I thought the 822 did pretty good with pictures, but nothing great. I know the 928 takes better pictures than the 8X from what I have read on here. I also know that the 928 has 32gb vs the 8X with 16gb of memory. So my question is: Is the 928 worth the extra $65? I am just looking for some input from people who have used both phones, if possible. Thank you.

I would wait if you could. There's a new phone supposedly coming to Verizon within the next two weeks. I have an 8x and it has worked well but depending on your memory needs that 16gb can get used up pretty quick. The 8x can get really hot while playing some games and looking at video also but I keep a case on mine so it doesn't bother me too much.

For me yes, nobody can answer that for you. If the extra $65 is worth double the storage and a better camera then go for it!

I would suggest waiting for the 929 but because you are choosing off contract and are sweating $65 I figured a brand new $500 phone would not be an option.

If you can get your hands on both of them to try out, that is really the best way to decide. I personally will be biased towards the 928. I originally wanted the 8X, until I handled both the 8X and the 822. To me the 822 just felt and looked better. I really enjoyed the 822. When I found a good deal on the 928, I didn't hesitate on getting it. My sister just switched from an iPhone 4/4s and she loves her 928. Ultimately, it will be your choice.

I guess my post came off as though the cost was the only issue. It really wasn't about the $65. lol. You are correct that I don't have an interest in spending $500 though. It's an option, but I am not interested. I was really looking at opinions on the two phones since they have been out a while now and have seen updates to the software. I know it is up to me ultimately. I am just trying to get some feedback. I have other phones, but did enjoy my time with the 822. I am just looking to pick up an inexpensive WP at this point. If Microsoft keeps the updates coming and make some of the changes that are important to me then I might just spend that $500 on the 929. We will see. I do appreciate the input very much.

Thank you. Seeing as I liked the 822 as much as I did I was leaning towards the 928. I think the fact that the 8X was new and not used at that price got me thinking. Seems like the 928 is worth the extra cash though. I appreciate your feedback.

8X more dependable phone, 928 is buggy...No question the camera on the 928 is a lot better but, more towards night shots, over all in very well lit areas, their pictures are pretty close..

I had a 8X for 4 months before moving to the 928. The 8X is slimer and fits better in the pocket than the 928...

I chose the 822 over the 8x initially, and liked it so much I got our daughter one. Waited a few months after 928 came out, got one and gave my 822 to my wife to replace an HTC android phone. Really liked the 822; like the 928 even more. For $65, I wouldn't think twice or even blink. Note that those of us that <don't > have bugginess don't post nearly as much about how cool our phones are vs. the subset with issues, legitimate as they are. Basically, YMMV. Regardless, I can do things faster on my 928 than on an Android phone or tablet, with less bugginess.

Would I get a 929 over the 928 if price weren't an object? Damn Skippy. For $500? Nope.
