Hello,

the first half of the sources, i have found are suggesting, the Lumia 720 supports WIFI at 5 GHz (Mode A), f.e.:
the GSM-arena review
Nokia Lumia 720 review: On target - GSMArena.com

the german Nokia site, where the techn. details are listed
Nokia Lumia 720 Technische Daten - Nokia - Deutschland

But about 50% are mentioning
WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
instead of
WLAN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n

including the dealer, i have just ordered the phone.
I made my research quite obviously at the wrong time...

So, can anyone confirm, that with his Lumia 720 WLAN is really working at 5 GHz , with a channel-number that is higher than 14 ?!
Are there different versions of the Lumia 720, perhaps for the different markets ?!

I have just informed the dealer, that he should test the phone for that feature and if negative, shall cancel the order.

I know, that for most WLAN A is not of any importance. But i need it and if not existing, i have to choose a different phone.

Thank you !

It should be fine the 5GHz will work with the 720 it just a frequency which is used if your device is in a close range to the hub that it will use the 5GHz which has a stronger signal and strength then the 2.4GHz which is used if your device is further than the range of 5GHz frequency.
