Will there be Future Optimizations for 1080p?

I haven't seen too much talk about this, other than some industry reviews on the 1520, but I was wondering if anyone knew about future plans to optimize WP8 and apps for this extra resolution?

We get extra live tiles but so far that seems to be about it. The keyboard, which was already too big, just scales up the same. The font sizes haven't been reduced either.

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the screen size for video, photos, games, browsing, etc. but it seems it isn't getting put to its fullest potential by the OS.

I wouldn't let that bother you as the 1520 right now is the one and only available. I'm sure as more of these types of resolutions hit the market more apps will tweak as necessary.

Basically for apps, if they are 'supporting' 720p in the sense of app height (not fixed, leaving a black bar on top), and have higher resolution icons/images for 720p, they'll be scaled UP to 1080p. Not ideal, but probably not too noticeable yet. For developers, there aren't any 1080p emulators out yet even. We can have resolution specific splash screens (WVGA, WXGA, 720p). But the 720p scales up to 1080 on those devices right now if present. This will surely change soon.

I figured that. There is a price to pay for being cutting edge.

I just got the development kit installed on VS2013 but I'm busy with a web project.

I wonder why they didn't release emulators yet? That's kind of weird. You'd think MS would want developers to get a jump on things.
