Reception issues

I had not experienced this until recently, probably, because I have not been in any big buildings.

My daughter and I were at a hospital, visiting. She has an cheap Samsung Android (even less than the 520), and I have the 520. We are both on Telus. She was getting reception, me, nothing. Same for most others around me, although I do not know which carriers they were using.

So my question: are others having similar issues? And, as a follow-up, do the higher priced Lumina phones get better reception?

I haven't had this issue with my 920 however my mum has the 520 and that has as good reception as the 920.

However certain building can always block a signal or have certain areas where you can't get a signal and other areas you can.
