I pretty sure the 500 places that say to cannot downgrade if you get GDR3 Preview werent for fun.

To my knowledge you cannot downgrade

Aww, man..

And Nokia Software Updater for Retail don't recognize my device too..

Have a way to flash it back to Amber using Nokia Software Updater for Retail?

Thanks.

Hmm I performed the downgrade twice over. Never read those places.

OP, have you tried a different USB port? Perhaps one in the rear of your PC.

Re: Downgrade from GDDR3 Preview back to Amber Failing - Nokia Lumia 920

it is possible to downgrade.
i downgraded my 925 GDR3 developer preview to official GDR2+Amber.
but i didn't reset my phone even once after installing the preview and also didn't use any flash tools.
my phone's warranty was still there.
all i did was went to a Nokia Care outlet and asked them to refresh my phone software.
and it's perfectly fine and restored now.

Now I don't know for sure, but the error seems to indicate that the device is disconnecting prematurely from the bus. Is there another pc that you can test on?

Re: Downgrade from GDDR3 Preview back to Amber Failing - Nokia Lumia 920

you can downgrade,
1. use NCS offline,
2. disable auto detect device,
3. click file >open product>rm-821>enter,
4.click programing>select recovery,
5. disconnect your phone and start recovery,
6.when the retry screen pops up, plug in phone and press the vol down + power, after vibe click retry,
7. use this version of NCS 2012.51.4.4,
its possible to downgrade, even downgraded to 1232.5951.1249 just to test , I downgraded from GDR3 preview

Re: Downgrade from GDDR3 Preview back to Amber Failing - Nokia Lumia 920

if you want to recovery mode you should detect the phone and @ the recovery time you should offline your connection from NCS or from LAN and note it recovery files are the same code name which one device has code like you have 920 and what is your 920 product code note it and where you downloaded the previos frimware for your nokia lumia 920 go on the path and change there just a product code if the same thats okay if you have download previous frimware v another variant code you should change the other variant code with your lumia 920 variant code.
