Recently purchased a T-Mobile Lumia 925 on eBay. It came with an active sim. Can make calls and everything.

I'm worried this is a lost or stolen device. What do you think?

Wow. Definitely sounds bad. What was the seller's feedback like? Have you called the service provider and checked the IEMI? Have you contacted the seller?
I bought a phone from eBay that came with an active sim as well a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a mistake on the seller's part. The phone actually belonged to the seller. He had simply forgotten to take out the sim. Hope your dilemma is as simple as that. I'd take it out and reset the phone.

imei is clean. T-Mobile has an online form u can punch in the number.

Haven't contacted him yet. Thinking about returning it because condition is not exactly as described.

Seller didn't do a reset in the phone either. Looks like all the accounts and photos were deleted though. I saw someone's cached picture in the live tile. That's why I think it was not reset.
