Well known Lumia 820 volume button issue is already discussed through several threads below but I found no proper solution on the same. Only solution is to replace the phone. Is it possible to get FREE replacement of 820 in INDIA? I am near to end my warranty by Jan 14. I know Nokia has stopped manufacturing/importing this model in India.

Waiting for quick response.

In india there is no replacement..nokia care will repair free of cost provided it was caused due to manufacturing defect and not by physical forces

sent either from my Nokia Lumia 820 or HTC Desire HD

Yeah, if you are still under warranty just tell Nokia Care your problem, they will fix it for you free under the warranty. You have to pay for fixes once your warranty is over though. Also, if that doesn't work, you can try to take off the back cover and see if anything is blocking/misaligned in the volume key in the case. Try pressing the small buttons directly on the phone, if that works, it's the case problem and you can get a new one.

hi,
If you have installed Nokia Mix Radio, uninstall it and restart the phone, volume control will start working normal. I had the same problem and I just did it and its working.

I am having volume issues with only XBox Music only. MixRadio is running smooth. Also, this could not be a physical button issue, since buttons are working fine for all other applications.

Thanks,!!
