Is it just me or when you plug in the charger its a bit hard ?

Should be a bit hard to plug in, and a bit hard to get it out. You should get used to it, it's actually a feature designed to keep the microUSB cable in.

count yourself lucky your port is tight, you could have a loose one that could cause problems

Many tablets, smartphones and anything else with a micro USB port have ports that are a little bigger than they should be. It causes the USB cable to not fit correctly and it causes a bad connection that leads to improper charging, data loss when transfering and other problems. If your port to cable is good and tight it avoids these problems.
