Any other 920 users considering going up to a 1520?

I'll wait until this fall to upgrade, that is when my contract will be ready for upgrade. The 1520 is impressive, on specs, but I don't think I want a phone that big. I will likely get the next generation 920 type device, or else the next generation 1020. It depends on what is out there, and the condition of my phone.

I have a 920. I kept saying the 1520 is too big for me. But I had used the 920 so much, that I desperately wanted to upgrade. So, I pulled the trigger and now I keep thinking why didn't I do it earlier. Love the 1520, love it. It's just the matter of getting used to the size.

After playing with one, it just too damn big. The highest i'll go is 5 inch for comfort.

I now have a work iphone 5 as well as my 920 personal phone, I travel a good bit for work and have 3 kids. So my 920 is mostly used for internet cruising, e-mail, apps, games and rarely for calls anymore. It would also be very beneficial to have another device my kids could use for homework, road trips, etc. The more I think about it the more it makes sense to get a "phablet" and the 1520 would be a natural fit.

My kids have an Asus running full windows 8 and I've been using the 920 for over a year now so no big change there and the majority of my calls I get are while I'm driving and I have a really nice Bluetooth in my new Civic so I will not be making many calls with it held in my hand.

Thoughts?

1520 was a little too big and lacked Qi and 32GB on AT&T. I got my 920 in November 2012 so I might as well wait for a WP8.1 flagship to upgrade. Really hoping for a cross-carrier device. AT&T's handling of the 1520, and knowing they no longer support Qi has me looking at T-Mobile and Verizon.

I am patiently waiting for a true 920 successor.

Same here. At first, coming to the 920 from the 800 was weird, but as I got used to it I feel it is the right balance in terms of size for me. I can just about grip and use the 920 comfortably with one hand. The 1520 would be too big IMO. Although I would love that screen real estate.

So reading this upper link we see that the camera of the L920 is nearly on par with L1520. But if we read this forum L920 is crap so the L1520 is also crap.
I am waiting for the mini version.

I dont know if I will buy the 1520 but I do tell you something, I love phones with big screen. I had the galaxy note 2 and trust me, I got girlfriends . Sometimes I was talking to a girl but she was not interested in me but when I took out my phone with such a big screen she was like waoooo. true story

luckily enough i've not had to hard reset my 920 yet. i think the more apps a user has the higher chance a rogue app might get in the system leading to possible hard resets. not concrete, just my thoughts.
