If I flash an international rom, while my phone is sim-locked, would I get a SIM error with my H2O(AT&T) SIM?

What about music from Nokia radio, seems I heard it will give issue if it seems it is not a USA rom.

I believe I read somewhere that if the a rom is flashed that is a newer version, it is nearly impossible to flash an older one. Reason I asked in case I want to go back to an AT&T ROM

I've flashed my AT&T GoPhone 520 with the Australian rom, the European rom, back to the Australian rom, and then back to the AT&T rom with no issues. :)

Is there an issue with a phone that is sim locked using a different country rom like a country variant

Not that I'm aware of. The phone should still operate, but there could be signal issues. I've heard of LTE problems and tethering issues, but never a phone simply not operating. My AT&T locked 920 operated flawlessly on both the European and French roms....which I flashed using a thread found at WPCentral.

The 520 is only a 4g, not lte. My main concern is the phone isn't unlocked. I would think that I would give a SIM error due to that.

I've done the same thing, including AT&T's ROM. I've flashed ROMs so many times I've lost count, probably a dozen or more.

I seen some do, like France, Russian Federation, Bangladesh, India. Italy is coming soon.

Also read that if you change the folder name to the one you are using, for example: if using a 914 phone and want to use a 915, you would name the 915 folder to 914

I am currently using 059T103 RM-915 VAR EU IL CV. The only issue is that it defaults to Hebrew. It took me a bit of trial & error to get the language switched to English at startup. The other one I've used is 059S340 RM-915 VAR APAC AU CV. IIRC it defaults to Australian English, which means I can read it at first boot.

Also read that if you change the folder name to the one you are using, for example: if using a 914 phone and want to use a 915, you would name the 915 folder to 914

I believe this was done on the 920 or some other Lumia, but it doesn't work on the 520. At least I couldn't get it to work.

I was searching about debranding, and seemed one person that has a sim-locked phone flashed an international rom and after putting his at&t sim, it wanted the unlock code.

Is there anyone that also has a SIM-locked lumia and flashed an international rom get a SIM error? That is one of my biggest fears, the biggest is chance of bricking.

I flashed my 920 with two different foreign roms and got no sim error. I'm with AT&T, and used my 920 for almost a year with the flashes French rom with no problems at all.
