Pictures / Video taken with your Lumia Icon

I am not much of a photographer and lack any photography knowledge, so I tend to keep everything on auto. Below are some outdoor pics I took with the Icon.

Pulled these from my Skydrive. I'm not sure if it's the 5mp or 16, and I'm only seeing 1 of each image on my phone so I'm not sure where it's placing duplicate images.

I think it only opens the larger image when you "open in Nokia camera" for editing. Not sure though.

Took this shot while in the United Kingdom the other day; I'm no expert, but I was impressed. Also, I've read reviews that claim that the 928 has a better camera but I've been much more impressed with the Icon than the 928 in terms of photo quality (aside from low light).

I think it's pretty clear that anyone who claims that the NL928 has a better camera: A.) Doesn't have the Icon. And B.) Is jealous that they do not have the Icon. It's a silly claim. The Icon's camera is clearly better. The variety and capability of Nokia camera apps mostly makes up for the lack of Xenon flash.

ISO determines how much light your phone lets in during a picture. So when there's lots of light, change the IOS low. If it's dark, make the ISO higher. Just turn your ISO higher and low light pictures should turn out brighter. Hope this helps

Wow, the kinda cool thing is that the bright areas from the street lights etc (in the low light photos on top) didn't cause it to turn down the exposure and not capture everything else.
Looks good.

I had a HTC DNA which did ok and now a Samsung S4 which is certainly slower to take photos than the HTC and am waiting for renewal to perhaps grab this phone and go back to Windows (previously had Windows Mobile 5 and 6 before Android).

Make you have upgraded to the newest version of the Nokia Camea App, then go to settings and select 5MP+16MP RAW, then you can either connect the camera to your PC via USB or you can manually upload the photos to your skydrive when connected to wifi.
I have not found any other way to access them.

I took a bunch of photos today. When I got to my office and my phone connected to WiFi, I checked out my skydrive and all the pictures I had taken were uploaded as one image, in the RAW format. It was great.

Here are some comparison shots taken with my Icon and my Canon EOS-6D DSLR. Both were taken under identical lighting conditions using the same ISO (ISO 100). I processed both using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
