I need a special cover in order to use wirless charging on this right? All because AT&T wants to make money on power mats, I'm furious after spending a ton on wireless chargers for my lumia 920 on AT&T. I hate cases this is stupid. So i'll never get a Qi phone on AT&T again it seems. Someone confirm or deny my dread or if I can use another carriers phone on AT&T's LTE that will have Qi built in.

Yes you'll need a special cover to support the "other" wireless charging standard. ATT 1520 doesn't support Qi directly, but the other (global) models do.

Neibl,

You might want to check out this thread for more detail:

http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...-qi-charging-lumia-1520-t-phone-solution.html

But the quick summary is that the ATT version of the 1520 has no built-in wireless charging and the only "cover" that is available supports the PMA standard, which at this time is really only being pushed heavily by ATT and Duracell. All other 1520's use the QI standard, but don't support ATT LTE bands.

There is an international variant that supposedly supports both ATT LTE and QI, you can follow this thread here:

http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-1520/268213-3.htm

That might be an option as well.
