Phone heats up when on call with 3G

My 720 is about 3 months old. I enabled 3G a week ago and I notice that it heats up within 5 mins when on call. It gets so hot that I cannot place it on my ear.

I do not see the issue when I disable data connection.

I have done a soft reset and uninstalled all the apps, but no luck. Has anyone seen this issue? Any thoughts?

This seems like a hardware issue then. Nothing you can do but taking it to your nearest Nokia Care point.

Yep. Definitely sounds like a hardware fault. If it gets too hot to actually hold on your ear, then I wouldn't be using the phone at all until it's been checked out by a service centre.

Nokia care are telling fibs. It is normal for a phone to get WARM when in use. It is not normal for a phone to get TOO HOT TO HOLD on your ear, as the OP is reporting. After all, holding the phone to your ear during a call is essential to actually operating the device in its nominative mode, ie. as a phone.
