Should I buy nokia LUMIA 720 at this time? Basically I want a mid range phone with good camera??????

Okay, I'm an android device user but with the experience I came to know that android is not for me. All i want is a good quality phone which has a good camera in mid range section i.e. under 20k
Indian rupees. I don't play games and as far as the apps goes all the common and popular apps are available in windows store. With research i came to know about lumia 720 which pretty much fits perfectly in my ideal preference. the question is there a better alternative available at this price?? or should i wait for one more month as nokia is going to announce 6 new devices on april 19 MWC. But i have heard there will be no successor to the lumia 720? HELP

Lumia 720 is an excellent windows phone ,which is the second most popular here in India, after Lumia 520.
yes Lumia 720 proves to be an excellent camera phone , it's packed with carl zeiss lens , best in low-light photography .
battery is perfect for this device since it does not have an hd screen , can last easily one full day on heavy usage
if you don't play games then go for it since all the new games requires at least 1gb or more ram , apps does not require such power ,
super sensitive touch with clear black display , sunlight readability are found on nokia devices
you also get some extra Lumia exclusive apps like nokia camera , refocus , creative studio , mix-radio and many more.
if you are comfortable with the apps selections go for it , soon windows phone 8.1 will change the shape of OS.
why not try out nokia Lumia 720 in an outlet near to your location

regarding the successor , it is rumoured 730 is on the way but I cant say much , maybe 720pHD screen , 1gb ram and slightly better processor (windows phone does not require much hardware unlike android )

Get an 820, that is much better, 1gb ram is great for gaming and you'll see less of the Resuming screen. The AMOLED screen is beautiful.
However the downside is a bit lower battery capacity than 720.

I saw it on flipkart at 21k.

Hey Himanshu , Welcome to Wpcentral forums. As a proud Lumia 720 owner I am saying it's an amazing phone. Till now I didn't get any problems in my phone. Only drawback is that it is powered by a 512mb ram. But it doesn't matter me since i am not a heavy gamer. I only use essential apps. So if u don't rely on heavy games then go for Lumia 720. It features amazing camera and battery.

hey dude yeah i saw its price tag of 21k at flipkart but its a lil bit out of my range. costs 5k more than lumia 720

Camera of Lumia 720 is far better than Lumia 820 . Low light photography is awesome..!

get Lumia 720 if you don't want 1gb ram for games , though Lumia 820 has an amoled screen , 8MP camera but it isn't as good as Lumia 720's 6.7 MP camera , Lumia 820 have pathetic battery life .

hmm yeah i just checked apart from poor batteery life 820 it aint even have gorilla glass and has a 0.3 front camera. a bit overpriced i think

1 question more guys. Is there a problem with whatsapp in windows OS. i heard you cant share audios\videos through whatsapp. some features doesnt work

yes 0.3 is meehh , 720 shares the same 1.3 MP 720p hd camera , oh same battery from Lumia 920 (2000 mah )

my mom uses Lumia 520 , same with 512mb ram , whatsapp works FINE , regarding sharing files , you can share videos from gallery not from music+videos section , audio isn't available but I am very sure windows phone 8.1 will open gates fro this , as current wp8.0 lacks API , on top in the next update of whatsapp you will get background chat images , custom sound for msgs , privacy settings to hide status , last seen or profile images from contacts or everybody

Yea 720 is fine, been using it from last may . Everything works smooth except some games which require 1GB ram. Camera is better than any other high end Android phones. Get it, you won't regret it. I'm still happy and don't wish to upgrade soon.

While that is true, after Amber camera quality is shot. But compared to other phones, it is still great.

However, it would depend on OP as to what his phone be used for? Since NFC is not yet prevalent in India, and OP isn't into selfies and the likes, he would be better off into 525, would save a lot of money.

Got my mom a 525 yesterday, she loving it. Camera quality is good too. However lack of flash is a bit disturbing.
