off contract Nokia icon in New zealand

Hi all as im in New Zealand i will never see a Nokia icon in the shops but i can by one off contract online, so any will it even work here ??? i have no idea what to look for to make sure it works before i buy it. can anyone help me out as id hate to get one and it not to work as itll be very hard to return.

You should wait lumia 930 as it is around the corners , lumia icon is exclusive to Verizon network and lacks glance and double tap to wake , I am sure lumia 930 will be way better than icon and it will be international , so you can easily buy one off contract and use in New Zealand

mate I m waiting for a phone like icon too, in nz that is, I guess our best bet is to just be a bit patient like for a month or two we ll get Lumia 930 here soon

I am still waiting to test windows phone 8.1 , and I have patience heheh but sometimes I can't resisit my self I want to upgrade my lumia , so 930 sounds good to me

well we ll wait till april the 2nd when they officially announce Lumia 930 and then will keep track on sites like pricespy.co.nz will sure get it

I'm not so sure about the 930, according to GSM Arena it will have a 4.5" screen. I do hope they are wrong.
