If I buy an unlocked 1020 to use on T-Mobile - how do updates work? I mean since this is not a T-Mobile phone they wouldn't push any updates. Is it possible to apply updates yourself or is it that whatever is loaded is what you get and no more!

If you sign up for the Preview for Developers you should get updates as they are released from Microsoft.

most if not all 1020 Lumia do not have the correct bands for you to get HSPA+. You might either get LTE or just edge. Please check out the specific bands to ensure it is compatible with T-Mobile USA Bands.

Using a Rogers 1020, has all bands for Tmo LTE, HSPA and below, works great. Updates work on Rogers schedule and come through fine. Has all functionality enabled like data sense, tethering, max wireless data select. If youre thinking of buying one the Rogers is the version to get.

Is anyone currently selling the Rogers variant online?
