My 520 wont show on computer

Hi, my computer recognizes the 520 but it doesnt show up in the windows phone app for the computer or in the explorer? i am using the orginal cable and have tried to restart with the phone still connected, didnt work. also tried to install drivers and such but that has not work anyone that can help?

I didn't have this problem when my PC is win8. After upgrading to win8. 1, at times my PC doesn't detect my L520. Found a Simple Solution [May be a Way], Switch off your phone, Connect it to the PC via data cable. The phone will Switch on automatically, and new drivers will be installed on your PC, and your phone MUST be detected this time for sure. I tried it myself. Try it.
